Networking


Networking these days is critical to your success. I don't mean social networks. Social networks are great for keeping in contact, but they are not practical in a business sense of just adding people - you MUST go to a networking event every one to two weeks without exception.

I believe in what Joe Girard states in his book 'How to Sell Anything to Anyone', that every single person is important, he has a law of 250 which basically states:

"This is a business like attitude that you had better develop and keep in your head every working hour of every day, if you don't want to be wiped out. Every time you turn off just 1 prospect, you turn off 250 more."

And so it goes the other way, create a miracle for one client, they will tell 250 of their friends. Quite possibly more these days with Facebook and Twitter.
